LAFD News:
As of Tuesday, July 24, the Los Alamos County Fire Department, New Mexico State Fire Marshal Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are still in the process of conducting an investigation into the origin and cause of the July 4 fire, which destroyed the chapel at the New Beginnings Church, 112 East Road.
At the present time, the fire is still classified as “under investigation” and information is still being gathered and processed.
The process of fire investigation is complex and takes time and resources to come to a conclusion of what took place before and during the event.
