Nella Domenici
POLITICS News:
ALBUQUERQUE — The Nella Domenici campaign reports that she posted the largest fundraising quarter of any U.S. Senate candidate in New Mexico political history.
Domenici raised $2.9 million between the Nella for Senate and its associated joint fundraising committees, and enters the third quarter with more than $2 million cash on hand.
“The momentum is growing, the movement is building, and our state is ready for new leadership,” Domenici said. “New Mexico is at a tipping point and I’m grateful to all of those who are rallying behind our campaign to demand more for our state and our nation.”
The campaign states that Domenici’s dominant fundraising quarter comes on the heels of two pre-presidential debate polls showing the New Mexico U.S. Senate race statistically tied or nearly tied. National Journal reported on one poll last week that showed the race for U.S. Senate was a statistical tie. Domenici was winning independents and Hispanics in the most recent poll. National Review reported on a poll in June showing she had room to grow while the New Mexico U.S. Senate race was within three percentage points. Additionally, Democrat polling post-debate shows Republicans flipping New Mexico.
Domenici released her first TV ad earlier this summer. Her first two ads introduced her to the New Mexican electorate. As recent polling, grassroots support, and momentum would show, New Mexicans are getting to know Domenici and the issues she is focused on addressing, including education, border security, crime, cost of living and energy. Polling shows that once voters know Domenici, she beats Heinrich (Democratic opponent Sen. Martin Heinrich) by double-digits, the campaign added.
