Dr. Lee spotted her neighbor Thao Nguyen leading her family today in shoveling snow for several elderly neighbors around Oakwood Loop near downtown Los Alamos. ‘She has been doing this since the beginning of winter,’ Dr. Lee said. ‘I was very moved and thought it’s very kind of her and makes the community beautiful to live in. I wanted to share her kindness with others.’ Dr. Lee explained that a few years ago, another one of her neighbors cooked dinner for a 90-year-old woman in the neighborhood every day for years just out of kindness. She wanted to write the Los Alamos Daily Post at that time to advocate for ‘these beautiful but quiet angels’. She didn’t do so before the 90-year-old woman moved out of state and has regretted for a long time not sharing that story. ‘So this time I must do so,’ Dr. Lee said. Photo by Dr. Lee
