Neal Sanders Wins 2020 Dog Jog Logo Contest

COMMUNITY News:

Neal Sanders, a 5th grade student at Aspens Elementary School is this year’s winner of the Dog Jog Logo contest. 

His drawing is the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event and he will receive a free t-shirt featuring his artwork. The winners are chosen on the basis of artistic merit, creativity and originality.

The other young artists recognized this year include a tie for second place between Abigail Sena and Ciara Nichearnaigh, and third place goes to Alyssa Sanders.

Honorable Mentions for this year go to Kamira Johnson, Evan Kolman, Ayden Lovato, Peter Maginot, Elise Maupin, Logan Nolen, Angelica Ricarte and Emma Waterbury.

The 2020 Los Alamos Dog Jog has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Rover Park in White Rock.  For more information, visit our website www.lafos.org.  The organizers hope to see everybody there.

Dogs, of course, not only get to participate for free, they get a special doggie prize at the finish line.

The 2020 Dog Jog, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, offers both a timed 5K course and a non-competitive 2-mile walk. Participants can get entry forms at Pet Pangaea, Animal Clinic of Los Alamos, Ridgeview Veterinary Hospital, LA Doghouse or download one at www.lafos.org. And we will have day-of registration starting at 8:10 a.m. at Rover Park.  All participants will get a t-shirt with Neal’s design!
