NCRTD News:
ESPAÑOLA — The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) is updating its Long-Range Strategic Plan and will develop a mission and clear vision for the future of transit service in NCRTD’s large geographical service area.
The development of the plan will include input from the communities it serves within the District as well as the Eight Northern Pueblos and the Jicarilla Apache Nation.
NCRTD is now seeking community input on existing challenges in reaching essential destinations, infrastructural needs to connect to transit services, and any other transit related issues and opportunities in the NCRTD service area. It is vital to gather as much community feedback and local knowledge as possible to ensure proposed improvements and recommendations accurately reflect the values and needs of those who live, work, visit, and recreate in the region.
Community members can provide feedback and learn more about the project here. Additionally, community members can also provide input and participate in in-person workshops scheduled to take place in Española, Taos, Los Alamos, and Santa Fe.
In-person workshops will be held:
- 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3; El Taoseno Room, Town Council Chambers, 120 Civic Plaza Dr, Taos, 87571;
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4; NCRTD headquarters, 1327 N Riverside Dr., NCRTD Board Room, Española, 87532;
