As the year comes to an end, the At Large Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of New Mexico (ALCNFBNM) would like to say thank you and Happy New Year to the White Rock, Los Alamos and surrounding communities.

We also say thank you to the following businesses and individuals that supported us in different ways:

  • Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op, Galaxy Nail & Spa, Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Roasters, Los Alamos History Museum, Samizdat Book Store & Tea House, Los Alamos Reporter, Los Alamos Daily Post, the bakers from Crossroads Bible Church, local artists Gloria Sharp and Melodie Gustavsen and ALL volunteers.

The support we received was truly appreciated.

Funds raised will be used to support the following NFB programs:

  • Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL) Summer program for children 4-12 yrs.;
  • College Scholarships; and
  • Free White Cane Program for anyone in need.

The National Federation of the Blind is a community of members and friends who believe in the hopes and dreams of the nation’s blind. Every day we work together to help blind people live the lives they want.

If you know of anyone in need of assistance due to vision loss, please feel free to contact me at 505.672.9626.
