The Los Alamos County Ice Rink welcomed its new Zamboni last week and has plans to debut it on the ice this upcoming week.

The Recreation Division is holding a contest to name the new Zamboni for community members and those residing in surrounding areas alike to partake in.

Initial submissions will be accepted until the end of May, followed by a public vote of favorite names from the submissions during the summer months.

The winner will be announced at the last Los Alamos Summer Concert Aug. 30, 2024, and will receive the prize of a free 10-visit punch pass for the Los Alamos Ice Rink 2024-2025 skating season.
