COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County installed a new art piece “Multiverse” by Evelyn Rosenberg during the pandemic in June 2020 at Ashley Pond Park.

The community is invited to attend an art dedication ceremony for “Multiverse”, hosted by the Los Alamos County Arts in Public Places Board, 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 16 at Ashley Pond Park.

“Multiverse” is a detonography sculpture that reflects the community of Los Alamos. Detonography is a process innovated by Rosenberg, which uses controlled explosions to create intricate metal sculptures that are beautiful from a distance and have tremendous detail up close.

Rosenberg is a nationally recognized artist whose public art appears in communities throughout New Mexico and across the country. Her work is highly specific to the location, incorporating themes and styles that reflect the community and respond to their interests.
