
State Rep. Christine Chandler
MOWW News:
This month’s meeting of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) is Tuesday, April 15 with featured speaker State Rep. Christine Chandler.
Rep. Chandler is a long-time resident of Los Alamos County serving District 43 – Los Alamos, Sandoval and Santa Fe counties, in the New Mexico House of Representatives. Her legislative committee assignments include Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and alternating Chair or Vice Chair of the interim Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee.
At Tuesday’s meeting, Rep. Chandler will present an overview of the 2025 60-day Legislative Session. She will highlight the major pieces of legislation that prevailed in both chambers as well as some that didn’t. Rep. Chandler will offer personal observations about working with the current administration as well as House/Senate dynamics.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a social period, followed at 6:30 p.m. with a brief business meeting in Room 203A at the Los Alamos Research Park. At about 7:15 p.m., Rep. Chandler will begin her presentation.

This meeting will be a hybrid session including Zoom, which starts at about 6 p.m. with details emailed ahead of the meeting.

An Act of Congress chartered the Military Order of the World Wars in 1919 as a national patriotic organization. The principal objectives of the MOWW are continuing service to the Nation, and patriotic educational opportunity for the nation’s youth and citizens. Current youth programs are focused upon annual Youth Leadership Conferences for high school students presented in New Mexico by its related Sunbelt Patriotic Youth Leadership Conferences, Inc.
