Mountain Fifth Graders Tackle Skiing and Snowboarding

Thanks to generous support from Pajarito Mountain Ski Patrol and Ski School, the 5th grade students from Mountain Elementary School were able to participate in a four-week ski and snowboard program.
 
Students were bused up to the mountain on Wednesday mornings, issued rental equipment, divided into groups by ability level, and given ski and snowboard lessons by the Ski School instructors.
 
“Pajarito Mountain isn’t even open on Wednesdays,” Mountain PE teacher Tony Hinojosa said. “They opened up the beginner area just for us!”
