Motorcycle Driver Transported To LAMC In Stable Condition Following Accident On N.M. 502

Motorcycle Accident:

A man driving a motorcycle westbound on N.M. 502 at approximately 2:30 p.m. today, crashed into a guard rail and landed on the other side of it in the dirt.

Los Alamos Fire Department EMT’s treated the man, reported to be about 20 years old, at the scene and transported him in stable condition to Los Alamos Medical Center.

“He was wearing protective gear and that is so important,” Deputy Fire Chief Justin Grider said.

The accident occurred about half a mile from the Totavo Gas Station. Los Alamos Police Sgt. James Rodriguez explained that the single-vehicle accident happened across the line into Santa Fe County and while LAPD responded initially, the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case. A call into SFCSO was not immediately returned.
