Staff Report

A mother-daughter team of local fiber artists, Elise Koskelo and Jeanne Robinson, are featuring their one-of-a-kind work from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Los Alamos Arts Council Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair at Crossroads Bible Church.

Elise Koskelo of Blueprint Wraps offers hand loomed wraps, shawls, capes and scarves in a myriad of combinations of color and yarn.

Her work has also been featured at the recent Fuller Lodge Pins and Needles art show.

Koskelo is a high schooler who just started her business this past summer with a Los Alamos Youth Business Grant and she is already gaining a following for her beautiful yet functional wearable art.

Jeanne Robinson of Corky and Dode Designs is a life-long knitter who loves to work with color and texture.

She designs and makes hand knit Nordic and Southwest patterned hats that are fleece lined for extra warmth. Robinson also offers scarves and fingerless gloves.

New to her repertoire this year are cowl necks. Her crocheted shrugs and capes are great for a chilly office and can be paired with a vintage pin from her electric collection.

Both artists are also showing their work at the juried Fuller Lodge Affordable Arts Show.
