Moderna Boosters At Two Local Vaccine Clinics Sunday  

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County, the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) and Trinity Urgent Care are administering the Moderna booster Sunday, Nov. 14 for select populations who have received their primary series (first two doses of Moderna or Pfizer) or to anyone 18 years or older who received the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The two vaccine clinics administering Moderna boosters include:

  • A walk-in clinic in Los Alamos; and
  • A drive-through clinic in White Rock.

The Los Alamos clinic is 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Auxiliary Gym at Los Alamos High School, 1300 Diamond Dr. Appointments are preferred but as long as there is sufficient vaccine supply, walk-ins are welcome.

A second drive-through clinic, hosted by the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization and Nambe Drugs will administer the Moderna booster for individuals 50+ years of age. This clinic is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  in the parking lot of the White Rock Senior Center at 137 Longview Dr.

Interested individuals can determine eligibility for the booster and resister for either clinic on the NMDOH website at https://vaccinenm.org/my-registration.html.

Special event codes are as follows:

  • Los Alamos High School: AKUNOXR
  • White Rock Senior Center: SENIORS

According to the Oct. 22, 2021, recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Prevention Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (CDC/ACIP) on the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine booster (third dose), those who should receive the single booster are as follows:

Appointment holders for the Los Alamos High School clinic are reminded to:  

  • Complete the online NMDOH medical questionnaire the morning of the clinic;
  • Complete and bring the Trinity Urgent Care Consent Form available online: https://lacnm.com/TUC-ConsentForm;
  • Bring your Medicare and medical insurance cards, if applicable;
  • Arrive within 10 to 15 minutes of the appointment time;
  • Bring the white CDC vaccination card; and
  • Wear a mask.
