Metzger’s Hardware Store News:

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Stay at Home Order issued Monday due to the COVID-19 pandemic specifically lists hardware stores as an essential business in New Mexico.

“Metzger’s Hardware takes our responsibility to our community seriously, and will remain open during this crisis,” General Manager David Jolley posted on Metzger’s Facebook page. “We will continue to do our best to keep in stock with the items you need to maintain your home, and continue to work to fully stock cleaning and sanitation to items that are in need at this time as well.”

Jolley added, “We take the health and safety of our team and customers seriously, and will continue to follow social distancing, cleaning, and other aspects of the order regarding protecting both our staff and customers. We ask our customers to cooperate in this, and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Monday’s order from the governor limits groups now to no more than five, so we ask everyone to keep this in mind, especially at congregation points such as the cash registers and doors. We may at times also have to limit the number of customers entering the stores to follow this mandate.

“We are also offering curbside pickup if you’d like to call ahead and pay for your order by phone. You can call Los Alamos at 505.662.3715 and White Rock at 505.672.3856. You can also place orders at www.MetzgersHardware.com for pickup on Thursday.

“We appreciate your business and also your patience at this time. We’re proud to be a part of the Los Alamos community and determined that we will all get through this together. If you have questions about our operations during this time, feel free to contact us at the numbers listed above.”
