Meetups For Entrepreneurs, Innovators And Idea People

LAEN News:

There are several regular opportunities to get together with other people in Los Alamos who are interested in networking about entrepreneurial interests, inventions, innovations and ideas.

A Meetup group at has a calendar of these events and provides a message board for connecting with others who may share your interests.

Each month there is an “Entrepreneur and Start-up Mixer” on the second Wednesday of the month at Diamond Mix, 1900 Diamond Dr. in the Pueblo Complex. The January meeting is 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14.  Attending is free although an RSVP (via the website) is requested. The first of these mixers was held in December, and the group decided that their focus should be networking, sharing ideas and experiences, and connecting with other people. Each Mixer will have a theme/topic that is chosen each month for the coming month. The theme chosen last month for the January Mixer is “Hiring Staff”.

There is a weekly “Innovators and Inventors Brownbag Exchange” held noon to 1 p.m., Thursday’s at Diamond Mix. These are informal sessions intended to provide an opportunity for exchange and feedback about inventions and innovations. Attendees can schedule making a presentation to the group if they choose to do so. Attending is free although an RSVP (via the website) is requested.

A third regular Meetup is “TED Tuesdays” at Diamond Mix. These get-togethers are about sharing ideas. Each week, the group watches and discusses a different TED talk during the lunch hour. The presentation begins at noon and participants are welcome to bring a lunch.

More information and detail about all of these events is available on the Meetup website. Joining the Meetup group at is free and easy and gives the opportunity to RSVP for events and participate on the message board. You can adjust how often you are sent communications to whatever frequency you choose.
