PEEC News:

Join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) for the first Summer Family Evening of 2021 Wednesday, June 9.

This family-friendly event will feature birds from the New Mexico Wildlife Center. Learn about the lives of rescued birds, responsible rehabilitation, what to do if you ever find an injured animal and more. Thanks to the Del Norte LOV Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Del Norte Credit Union, for sponsoring Summer Family Evenings in 2021.

Advance registration is required for this program at

To reduce the crowd size at the nature center, PEEC is offering two slots for this program: 6-6:30 p.m. or 7-7:30 p.m.

A limited number of spaces for families are available for each slot, and attendees will be asked to select a timeslot when registering. This event will be held outside on the patio at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

Admission will be paid at the door. The event is free for PEEC members and $5 per non-member family. To encourage social distancing, families will spread out on the patio squares in front of the nature center.

Summer Family Evenings take place Wednesdays in June and July. This summer, some programs will be hosted virtually via Zoom and some will be held in person at the Los Alamos Nature Center.
