PEEC News:

Come to PEEC Tuesday, July 2 for your chance to meet week-old goats. Both Los Alamos and the Jemez are home to goat farms, and their owners will be at PEEC with some new borns.

This program is part of PEEC’s Summer Family Evenings and is free to PEEC members and just $5 per family for non-members. Drop in any time between 6:30-8 p.m.

Jessie Ross of Gypsy Mountain Ranch, and Debbie Wood of Second Bloom Farm will bring mom and baby goats to PEEC. Some of the babies were born June 23, making them just a week and a day old on the night of the program.

Ross and Wood will discuss how they care for the goats, and what the goats need to live happily on the Pajarito Plateau. They’ll also talk about how they use goats’ milk to make cheese, lotion, soap and more.

Learn what it’s like to live on a modern, small-scale goat farm in New Mexico at this fun Summer Family Evening.
