Meet Finalists For Los Alamos County Manager June 24

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Council has narrowed down its list of County Manager candidates this week – each with top notch qualifications and many combined years of municipal and county government experience.

The Final Three Candidates:

  • Steven Lynne, Acting Los Alamos County Manager;
  • Erin Reinders, City Manager, City of Unalaska, Alaska: and
  • Leandro Cordova, Finance and Administration Director, New Mexico Counties.

These final candidates will be in Los Alamos June 24 and June 25. Members of the public are invited to an open house reception to meet the candidates 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, with introductions at 5:30 p.m. at the concert stage at Ashley Pond Park.

Residents are invited to visit with each candidate and then fill out a comment form with their feedback and top choice(s). Forms will be collected and given to the Council as part of its review of all candidates.

The County Manager position was advertised in May, after former County Manager Harry Burgess announced his retirement. The Council has been actively working to narrow the list of candidates over the last few weeks.

The final selection and announcement of the successful candidate is expected at the July 13 Council meeting.
