Something happened last night that took my breath away: the world premier of La Lune de Bleu, an original ballet by Dance Arts Los Alamos Artistic Director Johnathan Guise.

This three-act ballet and its realization was a marvel from beginning to end. The 75-member cast of DALA students, community members, and 3 guest artists, brought the story of Selene and Endymion to life with astonishing professionalism. What a thrill it must be for young people to perform in a production of such high quality. Some of the young dancers are clearly destined to continue studying their art. The rest will find their lives enriched in so many ways.

The only disappointment last night was the size of the audience. Johnathan Guise and his impressive team deserve a standing ovation from a full house and our thanks for bringing great dance to Los Alamos. Make that happen by buying your tickets at https://danceartslosalamos.org/.
