Musician, composer and Los Alamos native Matthew Andrae will perform with columnist, author and Los Alamos resident Carrie Classon for two performances 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.
The program will be a lively selection of original holiday stories, original music and favorite holiday songs and stories performed in historic Fuller Lodge.
Classon is an author and columnist. Her humor and lifestyle column, The Postscript, is carried in 190 newspapers in 25 states and heard several times weekly on Public Radio. Her memoir, Blue Yarn, was released earlier this year.
The Mountain Mail said in its review, “Classon’s storytelling is honest and insightful. She opens herself up to the emotions and discoveries that influenced the rediscovery of her passions, learning to value herself and trust her inner voice”.
Los Alamos native Matthew Andrae has performed on the world stage including the Winter Olympic Games, the World Expo and PBS in the Schools. His latest album Born was recorded in Santa Fe, Paris and Australia and boasts an all-star line-up of musicians and engineers with 14 Grammy awards between them.
Santa Fe Bandstand said, “Matthew’s music combines the groove of Stevie Wonder with the emotional charge of a Tracy Chapman. Completely unique—completely beautiful”.
Tickets are available at the door for $20 for adults and $10 for ages 18 years and under.
