Manhattan Project National Historical Park Update

COUNTY News:

Several committee members will be at the Los Alamos County Council’s Fair booth Saturday to visit with the public about the new Park coming in 2016.

The public is invited to stop by 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and visit with them at their tent near Central Avenue.

The Committee met Aug. 6 to discuss the Memorandum of Agreement that has been released by the National Park Service. The deadline for comments to NPS is Aug. 28, 2015.

A council discussion about a temporary visitor’s center for the new Park is on the agenda for the Council meeting at noon Friday, Aug. 14 in Council Chambers.
