Mang Named MWC Player Of The Week, Again

Colorado Springs, CO — The Mountain West Conference has named Los Alamos High Alum, and the University of New Mexico sophomore outfielder Jared Mang as the MWC Player of the Week. This is the second time this season Mang has picked up the honor.

Mang batted .440 with 11RBI’s, 8R, 3BB, 3HR in a series split with No. 6 Texas Tech and series win over the MWC 2nd place team San Diego State. It was Mang’s 3-run homerun in the seventh inning of Sunday’s game against SDSU that put the Lobos ahead for good clinching the series victory.

Mang and the Lobos are back in action Tuesday night in Albuquerque at Santa Ana Star Field against in-state rival New Mexico State. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. Tickets are only $2.
