SANTA FE — MANA del Norte is accepting scholarship applications for the 2020-21 academic year.

Applicants must be a current or former resident of one of the following six northern New Mexico counties: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, San Miguel or Taos.

This year, five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to selected recipients.

“The purpose of the MANA del Norte Scholarship is to assist Hispanic women from northern New Mexico in continuing and/or completing their post-secondary education with a focus on the non- traditional student, such as single heads of household, re-entry into college, and first-generation college bound,” Scholarship Committee Chair Anissa Evans said.

Applications must be submitted on or before July 3, 2020.

Selected applicants will receive their awards and be honored at MANA del Norte’s Annual Scholarship Banquet held during National Hispanic Heritage Month. MANA del Norte is actively following the environment created by Covid-19, and will adjust its event and process for issuing funds accordingly as the time comes.
