Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District are excited to delight the community with this year’s Fair and Rodeo Parade.
Kicking off at 10 a.m. Saturday on Central Avenue, the Grand Marshal, Dr. Kurt Steinhaus will lead a parade with bands, horses, goats and more. Be sure to see the final ‘float’ by the Legendary Longhorns!
The following weekend, on Aug. 19, the 18 and older crowd can attend the latest Atomic Follies cabaret performance. Get into the season with Back-to-School! Including live music, libations, poetry and dance, don’t miss this month’s edition of this sell-out series. Tickets are available at www.eventbrite.com.
Calling all performers, venues and arts and cultural lovers! Los Alamos MainStreet and the Los Alamos Arts Council are putting together a fabulous Day of Arts and Culture on Sept. 30. Past years have included performances of poetry, dance, and music, museum tours, art openings, and more. The community is invited to inform MainStreet and the Arts Council about what they can do to contribute to this day.
In addition to that day’s events, a Fall Arts and Culture guide for Los Alamos and White Rock will be released. The deadline to submit is Aug. 29 for arts and culture events scheduled Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. Contact jacquelyn@losalamos.org for more information.
