Lunch With A Leader: LACF’s Liz Martineau On July 17

The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos (LWVLA) monthly community event, Lunch with a Leader, will have Liz Martineau speak 12-1 p.m., Thursday, July 17, at the Unitarian Fellowship Hall on Sage.

Attendees are asked to arrive at 11:45 a.m. as the presentation will begin at noon. Attendees are welcome to bring lunch. Water is provided.

Martineau is executive director of the Los Alamos Community Foundation. She also serves on the Historic Preservation Advisory Board and J. Robert Oppenheimer Memorial Committee. She previously worked with the Historical Society, Visit Los Alamos, served on other nonprofit boards, and taught school for 15 years. In her free time, she is a fiber and book artist who also enjoys camping, hiking, and teaching.

Martineau will speak about the work of the Los Alamos Community Foundation and the new Los Alamos Uniting for Community Health (LAUNCH) initiative. She will focus on current and potential partnerships and how community members may become involved. Martineau said that her goal is “together, we will do great work to ensure Los Alamos remains a healthy place to live!”
