Lunch With A Leader Features Gene Grant April 19

The League of Women Voters of Los Alamos will hold its monthly Lunch with a Leader at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Mesa Public Library.
 
Gene Grant is the featured speaker/ Grant is in his 10th year as host of The Line on New Mexico in Focus. His show airs at 7 p.m. each Friday on PBS. In addition to hosting duties, he also has reported for the PBS NewsHour on six occasions. Grant was a longtime columnist for the Albuquerque Tribune before doing the same for the Albuquerque Journal and Weekly Alibi.
 
He has contributed articles to Variety Magazine and other national and international publications on the film industry in New Mexico, and wrote the Albuquerque On Film column for Albuquerque The Magazine for many years. Previously he was a Congressional staffer. With this background, it is no surprise that his topic will be The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of New Mexico Politics.
 
Because this is the League’s Annual Meeting as well as Lunch With a Leader, there will be a special silent auction. Everyone is welcome to bid on the various items. People who would like to join the League are welcome to stay for the annual meeting and vote on various League issues. Those who do not can leave at the usual time around 1 p.m. after Grant’s presentation.
