ALBUQUERQUE—Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham delivers several hundred Valentine’s Day cards to veterans Saturday at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center.  

The Valentine’s cards were hand-made by local school children from Zuni and Dolores Gonzales Elementary.

“It was a privilege and an honor to present these beautiful Valentine wishes to our veterans who are dealing with an illness or medical condition,” Rep. Lujan Grisham said. “This is a simple, but powerful gesture from students in our community to thank veterans for their service to our country and wishes for a speedy recovery. I would especially like to thank the children who were so creative in this endeavor and brightened the day for so many veterans.”
