LASO News:

The Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra invites the community to its Fall Concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 25 at Duane Smith Auditorium. Under the direction of William Waag, this free concert, with donations welcomed at the door, promises an evening of drama, beauty, and musical storytelling.

The program features Grieg’s spirited Holberg Suite, a vibrant mix of Baroque grace and Norwegian folk flair; the moving Funeral March for Richard Nordraak, written to honor Grieg’s close friend and musical inspiration; and Elgar’s stirring “Nimrod” from the Enigma Variations—a timeless piece known for its emotional depth and reflection. The evening concludes with the passion and power of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, bringing Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers to life through sweeping orchestral color and intensity.

Come experience an unforgettable night of music—from tender melodies to bold, cinematic drama—with your local symphony at its best.
