Karaoke night at the Pajarito Brewpub was in full effect Tuesday night.

“LoveShack” by The B-52’s, “PokerFace” by Lady Gaga and “Tell Me Baby” by the Chili Peppers are a few among the many songs that were performed.

The Karaoke Master took control of the evening announcing each participant with a playful cat call or a laughing mock announcer bit. Energy from the crowd was probably the most integral part of the evening.

When I finally mustered the courage to sing “Roses” by Outkast, the crowd would encouragingly sing “Caroline!” in canon with the song lyrics. Certain older couples stared with little or no expression to young students singing and dancing along to “Uptown Funk”, most likely relating this lively display to what’s wrong with America today.

Overall, the Pajarito Brewpub’s Karaoke night is a great and friendly way to spend a Tuesday night. Just remember: don’t be shy. You won’t regret it.
