Los Alamos Summer Concert Series: Liver Down The River Kicks Off ChamberFest At Ashley Pond Friday

Summer Concert Series News:

After a record breaking concert attendance last Friday at Ashley Pond Park, Sancre Productions welcomes Liver Down the River to the concert stage this Friday, June 7 in celebration of ChamberFest.

The concert is sponsored by the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce. From the high mountain river-valley of Durango, Colo. comes a five-piece band of musicians called Liver Down The River. The group has their roots in countless river floats, campfires, late night picking and Colorado living. Since its creation in 2012, the band has strived to have nothing but a good time. Their unique sound and high energy performances have lead them to share the stage with the likes of The Infamous Stringdusters, Railroad Earth, and The New Mastersounds to name a few.

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Liver Down the River Concert in celebration of ChamberFest and also will be hosting its 2019 Chamber Business Awards at the concert. Moving Arts Espanola will be featuring a Mexican Folklorico dance performance from the state of Jalisco. Moving Arts Espanola offers children teens and adults fine arts education including circus arts, gymnastics, tumbling, classical ballet, drama, flamenco, break dancing, hip hop, guitar and visual arts classes. The concert’s opening music performance will feature Escape On A Horse, who has developed an eclectic blend of alt-country mixed with a smattering of soul and rock that’s not without their own brand of wry humor.

“We’re in for a musical treat this Friday,” Sancre Productions spokeswoman Monica Griego said. “Liver Down the River has been called, ‘as good as it gets in the jam-grass world’ and Escape on a Horse from Northern New Mexico offers a unique rootsy country experience.”

As its third concert in the Series, the Sancre Productions team is working in tandem with various Los Alamos County Departments to ensure public safety, ADA accommodations, free parking and shuttle services and a diverse offering of food truck vendors.
