COMMUNITY News:

Scouts from local Los Alamos Scouting America Troop #122 participated in the 2025 Kirtland Air Force Base Camporee, Oct. 4–6, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The camporee was a combination of camping and merit badge activity jointly hosted by Kirtland Air Force Base and the Scouting America High Desert Council. This year’s theme was Crime Prevention and the Law. Along with earning merit badges for Fingerprinting, Law, and Crime Prevention, scouts from across northern New Mexico participated with Kirtland Air Force Base soldiers in hands-on explosive ordnance disposal suit and robotics demonstrations. Camporees are one of many character-building activities available for scouts in Troop #122.
