Los Alamos Schools Credit Union Wins National Award

CUANM News:

ALBUQUERQUE Los Alamos Schools Credit Union is among several New Mexico credit unions that have won national awards for community service, member service and financial education at both statewide and national levels.

Los Alamos Schools Credit Union won 1st place in The Louise Herring Award in the less-than-$50 million category for its internal programs and services that benefit membership.

“Credit union professionals from across the nation judged New Mexico’s credit unions the best in their size categories, and we couldn’t be more proud. These are the biggest awards in the credit union world and to have three national winners from one state shows that New Mexico is punching above its weight,” said Paul Stull, CEO of the Credit Union Association of New Mexico (CUANM). “New Mexico’s credit unions learned a lot from the Great Recession and put those lessons to work to serve their communities and their members better than anyone else in the country.”
