The final UNM-Los Alamos (UNM-LA) “A Day in the Life Of …” speaker is Josh Stringer from Los Alamos Schools Credit Union. The talk will take place from 2-3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, on the UNM-LA campus in room 203 as well as via Zoom.
Community members are welcome to attend. Los Alamos High School students are encouraged to participate during their WIN time via Zoom.
Born in California and raised in New Mexico, Stringer earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from New Mexico State University with a focus in marketing. He started his career in media with MTV and Time Out New York before transitioning into financial services. In his four years with Del Norte Credit Union, he advanced from branch manager to assistant vice president while also serving on the boards of the Del Norte LOV Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region, of which he now serves as the board president of both.
Stringer is currently the chief operations officer at Los Alamos Schools Credit Union where he oversees operations, strategic initiatives and member engagement across northern New Mexico. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, skiing in New Mexico and Colorado, exploring the outdoors, general shenanigans and reading history.
The new career development series titled “A Day in the Life Of …” is a six-week series that introduces different speakers from various career backgrounds.
