Los Alamos School of Gymnastics Atomic Tumblers Bring Home Medals

Los Alamos School of Gymnastics Atomic Tumblers traveled to Precision Gymnastics in Albuquerque for the second weekend of the New Mexico compulsory state championships on Feb. 25-26.

Level 5 Elizabeth Lockhart, a Level 4 state champion last year, took all-around gold again this year in the older age division, medaling in all four individual events as well. 

Teammate Ramya Stevens earned a bronze for her beam routine and placed seventh overall.

Alyssa Hilger took third place on vault and fourth overall in the younger age division, while Katrina Vinyard stood seventh all-around. 

Lilly Bueck brought home a gold medal in beam and was seventh overall.

Hilger, Lockart and Vinyard have all qualified to compete in Level 6 next season.

Level 6 gymnast Jenna Weatherbie was second on beam and sixth overall.
