Los Alamos Residents Meet GOP Candidate David Clements Running For 2014 Senate Race

U.S. Senatorial David Clements traveled to Los Alamos Friday to meet local residents at a gathering at the Fusion Cafe and Coffee Roasters in Mari Mac Plaza.

Clements is the Republican front runner for the 2014 senate race against Democratic Sen. Tom Udall. His Facebook page says he is a constitutional conservative.

Clements launched his campaign for the U.S. Senate Oct. 15 in Mesilla Park near Las Cruces. He is the former assistant district attorney and senior trial lawyer for the 6th Judicial District in southwestern New Mexico. He recently served as the Dona Ana County Republican Party chairman and is currently the 2nd Congressional District vice chair of the New Mexico Republican Liberty Caucus.

Clements and his wife Erin live in Las Cruces with their 3-year-old son Roland. Clements received his bachelor’s degree at New Mexico State University in Kinesiology and his law degree from the University of New Mexico.
