LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) continues investigating a series of vandalism and theft incidents involving political signs. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division are urging the public to help identify the individuals captured in the videos above.

The theft took place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, with the individual seen on camera stealing the sign at approximately 6:53 p.m. while accompanied by a child.

The vandalism occurred at about 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024 near 3250 Trinity Drive.

According to LAPD, these crimes are part of an ongoing problem during this election year. The LAPD has released images/videos of the suspects in hopes that someone might recognize them. To incentivize this, a reward of $200 is being offered for information that leads to the suspect’s identification or arrest.

Anyone with information is encouraged to report anonymously by calling L.A. Crime-Stoppers at 505.662.8282. Police emphasize that all tips will be kept confidential.
