Jake Trujillo is sworn in as the community’s newest police officer Friday afternoon by the Honorable Judge Catherine Taylor during a ceremony in Los Alamos Magistrate Court. In New Mexico, new law enforcement officers take an oath to support the constitution and laws of the state of New Mexico, the constitution of the United States, and the ordinances of the municipality, and to faithfully perform the duties of the office upon which he or she is about to enter. Ofc. Trujillo is now a member of the Los Alamos Police Department, which year after year maintains prestigious accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.
