Los Alamos Police Blotter: Sept. 6 to Sept. 12, 2012

The following information is provided by the Los Alamos Police Department.

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

Sept. 6 at 10:45 a.m. / A juvenile from Santa Fe reported being the victim of battery at Los Alamos High School and a Los Alamos juvenile was charged with aggravated battery and referred to the juvenile probation officer while a Santa Fe juvenile was charged with public affray and referred to the juvenile probation officer.

LAURENCE PENA

Sept. 6 at 1:08 p.m. / Police arrested Laurence Pena, 35, of Los Alamos near Hawk Drive and San Ildefonso Road and charged him with unlawful use of license; driving when privilege to so has been suspended or revoked, failure to display current registration and driving without insurance.

Sept. 7 at 8:59 p.m. / A 38-year-old Los Alamos man reported that he was the victim of arson in the 300 block of Ridgecrest. The estimated damage is less than $100.

 

Sept. 8 at 7:11 a.m. / A 43-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that someone tampered with her vehicle parked near 42nd Street and Urban Street. The estimated damage is unknown.

JESUS VELAZCO

Sept. 8 at 3:45 p.m. / Police arrested Jesus Velazco, 40, of Los Alamos near San Ildefonso Road and La Mesa Circle and charged him with DWI. Police arrested Velazco again at 4:05 p.m., Sept. 12 on an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant.

Sept. 9 at 7:20 a.m. / A 49-year-old Espanola woman reported that she was the victim of larceny in the 2100 block of Trinity Drive. The estimated loss is less than $250.

Sept. 10 at 5:40 p.m. / A 37-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that she was the victim of battery on Arizona Street. The matter is under investigation.

Sept. 11 at 8:03 a.m. / Police responded to the unattended death of a 95-year-old Los Alamos man in the 100 block of EL Gancho. The death is considered to be of natural causes.

PEDRO SANCHEZ

Sept. 11 at 12:17 a.m. / Police arrested Pedro Sanchez, 48, of Espanola on Trinity Drive on an outstanding felony warrant from another jurisdiction.

 

 

 

 

RALEIGH WHITT

Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. / Police arrested Raleigh Whitt, 24, of Los Alamos on Trinity Drive on an outstanding Municipal Court warrant.

 

 

 

 

RICHARD HICE

Sept. 12 at 1:45 a.m. / Police arrested Richard Hice, 34, of Velarde on Trinity Drive on an outstanding Municipal Court warrant.
