Los Alamos Police Blotter: May 23–May 29, 2013

The following information is provided by the Los Alamos Police Department.

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

May 23 at 9:26 a.m. / Los Alamos Public Schools reported that someone sprayed graffiti at Los Alamos High School, 1300 Diamond Dr. The estimated loss is less than $1,000.

May 23 at 10 a.m. / Los Alamos Police charged a 16-year-old Los Alamos boy with spraying graffiti at Los Alamos High School. He was referred to the juvenile probation officer.

May 24 at 10:08 a.m. / A 57-year-old Los Alamos man in the 1300 block of 46th Street reported that he is the victim of fraud. The estimated loss is less than $2,500. The matter is under investigation.

May 25 at 7:31 a.m. / A 79-year-old Los Alamos man reported that someone damaged his property in the 400 block of Estante Way. The estimated loss is less than $1,000. The matter is under investigation.

May 25 at 2:19 p.m. / A 47-year-old Los Alamos man reported that he was battered and his property damaged in the 1000 block of Seminole by a household member.

DESIREE NITZ

May 25 at 3:17 p.m. / Police arrested Desiree Nitz, 23, of Los Alamos near Diamond Drive and San Ildefonso Road and charged her with assault against a household member, criminal damage to property of a household member and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

May 25 at 9:16 p.m. / Police arrested Jack Heath, 58, of Los Alamos in the 300 block of Trinity Drive and charged him with criminal damage to property and issued him a summons to appear in court. The estimated loss is less than $1,000.

KYLEIGH FOSTER

May 26 at 11:32 a.m. / Police arrested Kyleigh Foster, 18, of Los Alamos on N.M. 4 and charged her with aggravated DUI, minor in possession of alcohol, driving with an open container of alcohol, providing alcohol to minors, careless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 26 at 11:32 a.m. / Police charged Christopher Capelli, 19, of Los Alamos on N.M. 4 with providing alcohol to minors and issued him a summons to appear in court.

May 26 at 11:32 a.m. / Police charged Valerie Warthen, 18, of Los Alamos on N.M. 4 with providing alcohol to minors and issued her a summons to appear in court.

MATTHEW WEINMAN

May 26 at 4:57 p.m. / Police arrested Matthew Weinman, 22, of Los Alamos at 39th Street and Diamond Drive and charged him with aggravated DUI and glue/aerosol spray abuse.

May 27 at 2:18 p.m. / A 46-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that she is the victim of larceny in the 4200 block of Alabama Street. The estimated loss is less than $250.

May 27 at 2:39 p.m. / Police responded to the unattended death of a 71-year-old Los Alamos man in the 300 block of Mimbres. Foul play is not suspected.

May 27 at 3:20 p.m. / An 18-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that she was battered by a household member in the 4200 block of Alabama Street.

JONATHON KLEBESADEL

May 27 at 3:46 p.m. / Police arrested Jonathon Klebesadel, 21, of Los Alamos and charged him with battery against a household member in the 4200 block of Alabama Street.

May 28 at 10:20 p.m. / Police charged Teresa Rice, 37, of Los Alamos in the 2000 block of 42nd Street with possession of marijuana and issued her a summons to appear in court.

May 29 at 10:25 a.m. / A 32-year-old Farmington man reported that he was assaulted near 4th Street and Central Avenue. The matter is under investigation.

May 29 at 12:50 p.m. / A 16-year-old Denver boy reported that he was the victim of same sex criminal sexual penetration of a child on Trinity Drive.

May 29 at 3:28 p.m. / A 65-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that she is the victim of fraud on Trinity Drive. The estimated loss is less than $2,500.
