Los Alamos Police Blotter: July 6 to July 11, 2012

The following information is provided by the Los Alamos Police Department.

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

July 6 at 12:19 p.m. / A 59-year-old Los Alamos man reported that someone stole cigarettes and an employment badge from his vehicle parked on Myrtle Street. The estimated loss is unknown.

July 6 at 12:20 p.m. / A 30-year-old Los Alamos women reported that someone stole items from her house in the 500 block of Oppenheimer including jewelry and prescription medicine. The estimated loss is unknown. 

July 6 at 12:38 p.m. / A 21-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that the mirrors on her vehicle were damaged while it was parked on Yosemite Drive. The estimated loss is $200.

July 6 at 5:23 p.m. / New Mexico State Police arrested Christopher Sandy, 35, of Los Alamos on a judge’s arrest order. He was booked into the Los Alamos County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.

July 7 at 10:57 a.m. / A woman reported that she was bitten by a resident’s dog while attempting to deliver mail in the 2100 block of 41st Street. Animal control is following up with the animal’s owner.

July 7 at 11:27 p.m. / Police charged Marshall Naranjo, 20, of Hernandez with disorderly conduct and profane, loud and boisterous behavior at the Shell Station at 3701 Arkansas St., and issued him a summons to appear in court. Naranjo initially reported that he was battered by a man who told police it was Naranjo who battered him. In the end, neither man wanted to press battery charges.

July 10 at 9:07 a.m. / A 75-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that someone broke the rear window of her vehicle while it was parked on Camino Mora. The estimated loss is $300.

July 10 at 1:57 p.m. / Police arrested Paul Jaramillo, 26, of Los Alamos at his residence on Joya Loop on an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant for failure to pay fines on a previously issued suspended license citation.

July 11 at 8:06 a.m. / A 49-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that her vehicle was stolen while parked on Rover Boulevard sometime between July 4 and July 12. The estimated loss is $2,500.
