Los Alamos Police Blotter: Jan. 17 to Jan. 23, 2013

The following information is provided by the Los Alamos Police Department.

Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of the charges filed against them.

Jan. 17 at 10:16 a.m. / A 68-year-old Los Alamos man reported that he was the victim of larceny in the 2800 block of Villa Street. The estimated loss is more than $20,000. The matter is under investigation.

KENDALL CHRISTENSEN

Jan. 17 at 1:25 p.m. / police arrested Kendall Christensen, 35, of Los Alamos at 2500 Trinity Dr., on a Municipal Court Warrant for violating his probation.

 

DAWNA RUSSOM

Jan. 18 at 7:15 a.m. / Police arrested Dawna Russom, 22, of Los Alamos on Diamond Drive and charged her with improper turning of her vehicle, aggravated DWI, driving with an open container of alcohol and driving without a license.

Jan. 18 at 8:58 a.m. / Los Alamos Public Schools reported that someone cut a fiber optic cable at Los Alamos Middle School. The estimated loss is $400.

Jan. 18 at 9:09 a.m. / A 23-year-old inmate at the Los Alamos County Detention Center accused another inmate of pushing or swatting her. Neither wanted to pursue the matter further so the case is closed.

Jan. 18 at 10:52 a.m. / Police issued Antonio Maldonado-Rodriguez, 41, of Los Alamos a citation to appear in court for the charge of identity theft after he was accused of using someone else’s ID to try to gain employment at Pajarito Ski Area.

VICTOR MEDINA

Jan. 18 at 4:18 p.m. / Police arrested Victor Medina, 30, of Los Alamos in the 1700 block of Central Avenue on a $629 Dona Ana County Warrant for failure to appear in court.

Jan. 18 at 4:56 p.m. / A 20-year-old Los Alamos man reported that someone stole his wallet, phone and playstation controller in the 4700 block of Yucca Street.

Jan. 18 at 7:10 p.m. / Police arrested Jeremiah Morris, 21, of Los Alamos in the 90 block of Mesa Verde on a $500 Municipal Court Warrant for failure to appear in court. He was arrested on the warrant and cited with leaving the scene of a crash. No photo available.

 

NATHAN REASS

Jan. 20 at 9:47 p.m. /  Police stopped a vehicle on Diamond Drive for no license plate light and subsequently arrested Nathan Reass, 22, of Los Alamos for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and cited Bradley Hughes, 23, of Los Alamos for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Jan. 21 at 1:26 p.m. / Police stopped a vehicle for suspicion of improper window tint and subsequently charged the driver with improper display of registration, registrations required, driving with a suspended license, improper window tint, unlawful use of license and no insurance. The vehicle was towed.

Jan. 21 at 9:40 p.m. / Police stopped Elena Hamburg, 29, of Los Alamos near 20th Street and Trinity Drive for driving without headlights and subsequently charged her with possession of marijuana and issued her a citation to appear in court.

Jan. 22 at 4:01 p.m. / The County reported that someone broke the glass at the Atomic City Transit bus stop near San Ildephonso Road and Hawk Drive. The estimated damage is less than $1,000.

JAVIER DOMINGUEZ

Jan. 23 at 2:34 p.m. / State police stopped Javier Dominguez, 32, of Abiquiu and transported him to the Los Alamos County Detention Center due to having an outstanding $500 Municipal Court Warrant for contempt of court. Los Alamos Police served him with the warrant at the jail.
