Los Alamos Medical Center hosted a celebration Monday evening in honor of employees celebrating their five, 10 and 15 year anniversaries with the hospital.
 
CEO Feliciano congratulated each employee and presented them with a certificate of appreciation for their achievements as well as Nambé décor gifts. The employees also were treated to a special dinner followed by cake.
 
During the celebration, Chief Financial Officer Steve Winegeart reminded the employees of what was going on in the world the year they began their career at LAMC.
 
Year 2000:
  • Bill Gates syeps down as chairman of Microsoft;
  • Peanuts creator Charles Schultz dies;
  • First artificial heart is implanted;
  • The 100th Space Shuttle mission is completed;
  • Musical Cats closes on Broadway; and
  • Los Alamos survives the Cerro Grande Fire.
