Los Alamos Jewish Center, United Church, Unitarian Church And Los Alamos Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Hosts Candlelight Vigil Nov. 1

Los Alamos Jewish Center News:

The Los Alamos Jewish Center invites the community to attend a candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at Ashley Pond.

At this interfaith gathering, we will remember the victims of the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. We will show our unity and resolve to stand up against all forms of oppression.

All are welcome join us for a peaceful gathering to take a stand against hatred and violence.

In memory of the 11 people who were murdered, the Los Alamos Jewish Center is collecting donations to HIAS – the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. There will be a collection at the vigil or click HERE to donate.

HIAS works for the protection and freedom of vulnerable refugees of all religions and nationalities. We have chosen to support HIAS in direct defiance of the bigoted views espoused by the murderer, who specifically targeted HIAS with his hateful rhetoric.

This event is co-sponsored by our Canyon Road neighbors – the United Church, the Unitarian Church and the Los Alamos Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
