Los Alamos High School NJROTC Participates In First Drill Meet Of Season

NJROTC News:

The Los Alamos High School NJROTC cadets competed Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Early Bird Drill meet at Volcano Vista High School in Albuquerque.

This was the first drill meet of the season. The armed and unarmed team both competed in regulation and inspection. Armed commanded by Michael Purdy, and unarmed commanded by Mikyla Smith. The unarmed team placed 2nd in inspection. Both teams did an outstanding job.

The male and female color guard teams also competed in regulation and inspection. Male commanded by Andres Maestas, and Female commanded by Danekah Olguin. 

Also competing were the female and male physical fitness teams. Victor Kim won an individual award for running the 800m. The shooting team also competed in standing an prone. Overall, teams were successful and did an outstanding job.
