LAHS NJROTC
For Los Alamos High School (LAHS) NJROTC, this year will go down in history as being marked by some incredible highs. From football games to parades, community events to 5k runs for charity, state championships to being named as a distinguished unit, the 2023-24 school year was a busy one for Topper Company.
Some stats from our big year:
- 1 Trip to the United States Air Force Academy
- 1 Color guard at a NHL hockey game
- 2 Parades
- 5 Drill competitions
- 3 3rd place finishes
- 8 2nd place finishes
- 20 1st place finishes
- 1 JROTC 4A state championship
- 6 home football games with push-ups and color guards
- 16 School events
- 44 Community events
- 3,200 items donated for LA Cares
- 4,994 service hours to the school district and community
- $7,500 raised for Mission 22 to combat veteran suicide
Named as a Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors for the second year in a row, Chief Ayers and Petty Officer Bohlen would like to give a special thank you to our departing Seniors as they embark on the next stage of their lives. They led Los Alamos NJROTC to even greater heights than anyone imagined possible.
Finally, thank you to all of the cadets of Topper Company. Your hard work and dedication to yourselves, each other, and your community is a testament to the incredible people that you are. Here’s to an even better 2024-25!
