SPORTS News:
The Los Alamos High School (LAHS) tennis team won the 2-26 District Championship this weekend with wins over St. Michael’s in the semifinals and Santa Fe Prep in the championship match.
The Toppers beat St. Michael’s 6-0, and then moved on to the final against defending champions Santa Fe Prep. Against Prep, Los Alamos won 5-0 to take the championship.
This is the first district title for the LAHS tennis team since 2018, and it is a satisfying result after years of hard work and practice.
Next up, the team will compete in the individual tournament in Taos next weekend, with the state tournament the following week.
