Los Alamos Golf Course An Active Construction Site

COUNTY News:

With the onset of the golf season, the staff of the Los Alamos Golf Course, Capital Projects and Facilities, and Mid-America Golf would like to take this opportunity to alert the public about the ongoing activities at the golf course, as it is an active construction site.

While the course will open for play starting Monday, March 11, it will be impacted heavily by the contractor, its crews and equipment.

On any given day the play will be oriented around closures laid out by golf staff in the pro shop. Signage and markings will direct golfers through their round of play assisted by course “courtesy marshals” volunteering to assist golf staff in helping to make play as friendly and safe as possible.

Most of the construction work will begin on the eastern edge of the course affecting holes 5 through 8. Golfers are asked to help by following Los Alamos County staff directions and keeping clear of all areas under construction.

The project will continue through late October and as such will be moving through all areas of the golf.

Direct questions to Harold Anthony Strain at harold.strain@lacnm.us in Capital Projects, or Golf Course Manager Mike Lippiatt at mike.lippiatt@lacnm.us.
