LAGS News:
The Los Alamos Geological Society (LAGS) will meet 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Los Alamos Christian Church at 92 East Road.
LAGS Board President Patrick Rowe will give a presentation on “The History of Silver Mining in New Mexico”. This was the same presentation he gave at the New Mexico Mineral Symposium hosted earlier this year by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
New Mexico has a wonderful endowment of silver (and other minerals) due to its rich geologic history. The community is invited to learn about the important geologic events that helped to create this endowment.
The meeting is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
