Los Alamos Geological Society News:

Did you ever look at a mineral publication and say to yourself – WOW? For Patrick Rowe, that “wow” is based on two aspects – a world class specimen and a beautiful photograph that captures the color and the unique crystalline features.

The Los Alamos Geological Society will host a special macro photography workshop 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at the Los Alamos Christian Church, 92 East Road. The workshop is expected to go until approximately 8 p.m. or 8:15 p.m.

A short break will be taken between the equipment description and the workflow discussion. People are welcome to bring a camera and take pictures of the set-up. A handout will be provided with descriptions of equipment and workflow. This handout will include images of the setup, so a camera is optional.
