Los Alamos Garden Club Hosts Annual Plant Sale

The Los Alamos Garden Club is hosting its annual Plant Sale 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10 at 203 Rover Blvd.​ in White Rock. 
 
The Los Alamos Garden Club has been meeting for 66 years, holds meetings once a month and offers fun and educational programs. The Club serves the community by offering scholarships to high school students, participating in community events such as Earth Day and maintaining the Los Alamos Memorial Rose Garden.
 
The Memorial Rose Garden is the oldest public garden in Los Alamos and the oldest public rose garden in New Mexico. It is located on the comer of Fuller Lodge, originally famous Los Alamos Boy’s Ranch School, and is next to the Los Alamos County Historical Museum. These grounds and buildings were appropriated dUring World War II by the Federal Govemment for the Manhattan Project.
 
The Annual Plant Sale is one of the ways the Los Alamos Garden Club raises funds to carry out its many projects.
